Following a Different Beat. There are moments in life when everything looks right on the outside. A respected career. A clear path. A life built on service and responsibility. Matt Kizis had that life. As a dedicated Pennsylvania State Trooper, his work carried meaning and structure. It was a role defined by commitment and purpose. But alongside that life was something just as steady. A love for travel. Not occasional. Not fleeting. Something that consistently brought him energy, curiosity, and a sense of perspective.

In this episode of HarmonyTALK, host Greg Frigoletto explores what happens when you stop treating that part of your life as secondary. Two years ago and in his mid-thirties, Matt made a decision that wasn’t about walking away but about stepping forward. He traded in his badge for a passport, deciding to follow his passion for travel and turn it into his life’s work. Together with a business partner, he purchased TravelWorld, a travel agency that has served Northeastern Pennsylvania for more than 50 years.

It was more than an opportunity. It was a responsibility. A chance to carry forward something trusted while shaping what it could become next. Today, Matt spends his days flying across the globe with his wife, guiding travelers through exciting locations like Italy, London, Paris and beyond.

But what he offers goes beyond destinations. He creates experiences rooted in connection, culture and discovery. Moments that stay with people long after they return home. This is not just a story about travel. It is a story about grabbing that gold ring. And about what becomes possible when you choose to follow a different beat.
